One of my easiest and tastiest recipes ever! This is the perfect example of how a few basic ingredients (spinach alert!) can be turned into a nourishing drink that tastes like spring and summer and autumn, all in the same glass. Meet the 5-Ingredient Simple Green Smoothie Recipe!

For me, this smoothie is a spinach smoothie with a twist. Let me explain …You see, many people don’t like eating spinach because of “the spinach taste”, yet spinach is one of the most healthiest plants one can eat. Luckily, even if you don’t like spinach, this smoothie can work for you since the spinach taste is actually hidden by all the other ingredients.

Here’s why you should try this recipe. It’s:

Creamy
& Easy to drink
Fun to make
Pure green color
Cheap
Nourishing
Loaded with healthy nutrients
Good for you

Let’s break down the ingredients

Cucumber – it may not be the centerpiece of this smoothie, but cucumber is well known for its phytonutrients content, which have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Cucumber also comes with vitamins and minerals, including electrolytes (magnesium and potassium) which help with recovery.

Banana – sweet and creamy, banana adds a few carbs, a bit of protein, some minerals and lots of healthy fiber. Last, but not least, it’s going to make your smoothie creamy, especially when combined with avocado.

Avocado – is responsible with most of the healthy fats used in this smoothie. But avocado also means healthy fiber, vitamins and minerals (including electrolytes – potassium and magnesium). Last, but not least, avocado and banana are the perfect combo to make your smoothie creamy.

Carrots – carrots are vitamin A kings, we all know this. But there’s so much more to carrots: they are literally loaded with vitamins and minerals, and have lots of antioxidants benefits. They’re just healthy and good for you, either raw or cooked.

Spinach – one of the most potent leafy green plants you can have, spinach is loaded with vitamins, minerals, healthy fiber and antioxidants.
