Just a few ingredients needed

The entire recipe from start to finish requires only 5 ingredients:

  • fresh bananas

  • dark chocolate (85% or more)

This is what I call whole foods in a bowl. Plus it’s so easy to make that even a 5 year old can make it.

Putting together this bowl can’t be easier

You’ll spend about 2 minutes putting together this raw bowl, in just a few easy steps.

  1. Add frozen berries and banana slices into a bowl.
  2. Mix a bit to combine using a spatula.
  3. Add hemp seeds and mix again to incorporate.
  4. Decorate on top with pieces of dark chocolate.
  5. Congratulations! You are now READY to eat!

This raw bowl can be customized!

In case you want to mix-up the flavors a bit, this raw vegan bowl can be easily customized. Check-out some of my ideas below:

  • Top it with your favorite nuts – walnuts, pecans, cashew or pine nuts.
  • Use other kinds of berries (fresh or frozen) – raspberries, blackberries or blueberries.
  • Include 1-2 tbsp of coconut butter on top of this bowl and you’ll be in for a delicious surprise.
  • Add a bit of coconut-chocolate mousse on top – make your own coconut mousse by beating coconut cream with cacao powder and 1-2 tsp of coconut sugar (see my coconut-chocolate mousse recipe).
  • Sprinkle your favorite seeds on top – pumpkin seeds, chia seeds or maybe sunflower seeds, all of them are delicious options to try.
  • How about tropical flavors? mango, papaya, pineapple … fresh or frozen.
  • A few slices of fresh oranges or grapefruits will balance the sweet taste of bananas adding even more flavor to the mix.

The options are endless and the flavor will turn out amazing every time. Which one is your favorite? I’m curious to see your ideas so be sure to let me know.
