Banana and avocado is one classical combo that you’ll find in many of the smoothie recipes out there. That’s because they’re both tasty and healthy plants that happen to mix wonderfully together. Meet your new Banana Split Smoothie!
Avocado is mostly made of beneficial fats as well as fiber, some vitamins and minerals (potassium included). Banana, on the other hand, is mostly made of carbs and some vitamins as well as magnesium. Add a few veggies and a few warming spices and you’ll get yourself one special Banana Split Smoothie.
Here are a few reasons why this smoothie deserves some love:

There isn’t much to dislike about this smoothie but quite a lot to love about it. Since we’re using the classical avocado and banana combo, this recipe is very easy to blend and will turn out creamy and thick. The bananas will enhance the overall taste plus they match perfectly with the fennel, celery, basil and dill.
The salt is there to balance the sweetness of the banana and the fatty taste of the avocado. As for decoration, I’ve decided on a few walnuts and a pinch of organic vanilla powder. The walnuts are softer nuts so they’re easy to chew while the vanilla powder will add a subtle flavor that goes wonderful with the banana taste.

Banana Split Smoothie
- 3 small bananas (peeled and sliced)
- 1 medium avocado (skinned and seeded)
- 1 stick celery
- 1 slice fennel (chopped)
- 2 tsp extra virgin coconut oil
- 2 basil leaves (chopped)
- fresh dill (chopped)
- pinch of Himalayan salt
- 250-300 ml water
- decorated with chopped walnuts and vanilla powder (optional)
- Add all the ingredients into your blender, including water.
- Blend on medium to high speed until everything looks creamy and smooth.
- Pour into glasses and decorate with chopped walnuts and a pinch of vanilla.
- That’s it! Serve fresh or store in the fridge for 2-3 days.
- Color: light yellow
- Texture: perfect creamy, like a shake
- Taste: tastes like banana
