Berries and spinach aren’t your usual smoothie combo but let’s give it a try, shall we? I simply love the idea of mixing different types of berries together with a few veggies and a creamy avocado (actually 2 small avocados in this case). Let’s blend this nutritious breakfast smoothie together!
This low-carb smoothie recipe doesn’t call for too many ingredients, but it will definitely give you a clean boost of healthy nutrients (and plenty of energy too). It comes packed with creamy avocados, two types of berries, frozen spinach, plus fennel, apples and carrots. I’ve told you that it super easy to make!
My blend turned out thick but not very creamy, and I could feel some of the seeds from the berries. Chances are that if you have one of those powerful blenders, your smoothie will probably blend just fine.
When it comes to the taste, it was definitely a sweet smoothie with an intense aftertaste of berries. I can’t say that it was the best smoothie that I’ve made, but it was pretty ok. Both me and my wife loved it very much and I guess this is what counts.
Pro Tip: Want to make your smoothie sweeter but still keep it low-carb? Add 1/2 banana or 1-2 medjool dates and you should be fine. Enjoy!
I hope you’ll enjoy this berries and spinach smoothie as much as we did. If you decide to try it make sure to let me know what you think about it.

Freya and Bjørn here,
We usually don’t like eating spinach so it kinda felt weird to find it in a smoothie BUT … we’re happy we did it because this smoothie turned out great!
Keep up the good work Marcel!
