In this Health Minute article we’ll diacuss how focusing on negative outcomes can create those negative outcomes, in your body but also in your life.
Are you one of those people that make-up negative scenarios all the time? You must know that these negative scenarios are only a mind-made construction. They are not real and they didn’t happen. They are only a mental projection that does not exist in the real life.
From the infinite number of possibilities in the quantum field, you’re choosing to focus your energy on a possible negative outcome. And if where you put your attention is where your energy goes, you are putting most of your energy on a negative possibility.
Going further, since you’re thinking a lot about this negative possibility, you are making neural connections in your brain related to it.
And since your thoughts become chemicals in the body – the way the body “feels” your thoughts is by experiencing what we call feelings – you’re also training your body for this perceived negative outcome ahead of a possible event. You are instructing your body chemically to feel the negative emotions associated with that imagined negative situation.
Certainly there is nothing wrong with taking measures against a possible negative outcome. But when you do it every day, when you are focusing only on that negative outcome, that is when you start experiencing it in your life.
From a chemical perspective (as I already explained above) you are already starting to experience how that negative outcome feels like. This is true because you are instructing your body to feel those emotions ahead of the actual event, so your body starts transforming in the anticipation of the event.
Also, when you’re focusing on a negative outcome to the extent that all your attention goes into that direction, you won’t be able to see any other possibilities in your life. With time, you’ll start making choices equal to these negative thoughts and feelings that you’ve rehearsed so well.
I hope that you are starting to see how your thoughts drive your feelings, choices and outcomes in life.
Instead of obsessing about a negative outcome, why aren’t you obsessing about a positive outcome? Obsess with a positive scenario to the extent that you make it more real in your thoughts and feelings than anything else.
Why not put your energy towards a positive scenario instead of a negative one? Why not focus on what you want. instead of what you’re afraid of?
I hope this makes sense to you, and that you’re starting to see how your negative thoughts and feelings will eventually drive those negative outcomes back to you. The same is true when you have positive thoughts and feelings but these will draw positive outcomes into your life.
