Green Smoothie Shot
Equipment
- Blender
Ingredients
- 250 g frozen spinach
- 1 avocado (skin and seed removed)
- 1 banana (peeled)
- 1 green bell pepper
- 1 medium carrot (peeled and sliced)
- 6 leaves romaine lettuce
- 1 golden apple (remove seeds)
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp ginger powder
- 1 slice lemon
- 1.5 tbsp extra virgin coconut oil
- pinch of Himalayan salt
- 400 ml water (or enough to balance the ingredients)
Instructions
- Wash and prep all the ingredients, and add them into the blender. Add enough water to cover the ingredients in the blender.
- Blend everything until you obtain that smooth texture.
- Enjoy fresh or store in the fridge for 2-3 days.
Notes
- Color: perfect green color
- Texture: thick, almost perfect creamy
- Taste: spinach taste, a bit sweet and a bit spicy but overall balanced
You can always swap plain water for coconut water, coconut milk, almond milk, or cashew milk. Any of these will add plenty of healthy fats and will enrich the creamy texture of your smoothie. In case you want to use the slice of lemon with skin, make sure to use an organic lemon. Conventionally grown citrus fruits are often sprayed with pesticides and so their skin gets contaminated with chemicals.
This green smoothie shot was exactly what I was looking for … it is loaded with plants and it was pure delish!
