What makes these chocolate fat bombs special?
These chocolate fat bombs come packed with healthy fats from different sources like extra virgin coconut oil, cacao butter, cacao powder and walnuts. While all these are great sources of healthy fats, one of them stands up from the crowd: extra virgin coconut oil.
Coconut Oil is great for your immune system, hormones, mood and energy levels, or for your hair, skin, nails, and is even great for cooking with it. The MCTs in coconut oil have natural antibiotic, antiviral and antifungal properties. Make it a priority to serve as little as 1 teaspoon every day and your body will thank you for it.
Besides extra virgin coconut oil, there are a few more (healthy) reasons to love these chocolate fat bombs:
Delicious homemade chocolate flavor
Refreshing with a creamy texture
Loaded with plenty of “good-for-you” nutrients
These fat bombs deliver unprocessed nutrients
Free of additives, preservatives and fillers
Packed with delicious cacao ingredients (antioxidants alert!)
Vegan, gluten-free and sugar-free
Perfect for low-carb and keto diets
Whole30 approved as well
Ready in just a few minutes
Trust me, homemade chocolate fat bombs like these will always turn out better (and will definitely be healthier) compared to what you can buy at the store.

Tips and tricks for making perfect chocolate fat bombs
These fat bombs will melt fast. Due to using coconut oil, these chocolate fat bombs have a tendency to melt pretty fast when kept outside the fridge. Keep this is mind and store them in the fridge when you’re not serving any.
How to make them more solid? It’s pretty easy! Replace part of the cacao butter with cacao mass. Since cacao mass is basically cacao powder in solid form, adding it to the recipe will also add an overall subtle bitter taste. Another solution would be to replace part of the coconut oil used with cacao solid (cacao mass or cacao butter).
Chocolate fat bombs texture. The walnuts and berries will partially dissolve into the chocolate paste, adding to the overall texture of this chocolate dessert. You will love it!
Do you like your chocolate fat bombs dark? If you like your chocolate more bitter, make sure to use half the quantity of raisins. In this recipe we use raisins as a natural sweetener, so using fewer raisins overall will lead to a more bitter chocolate taste.
What kind of berries should you use? Simply put, use the kind of berries that you like! Blueberries, raspberries or cranberries will work just fine. If you’re planning to use frozen berries, make sure to defrost them and remove any excess water prior to adding them in this recipe.
How to serve these homemade chocolate fat bombs
These little treats are ideal to serve as a low-carb dessert or healthy snack. They work great when you have a long day and you need a healthy boost of energy.
These homemade chocolate treats are perfect when you want to give your body a boost of healthy fats while cutting down on those sugar spikes. The carb count on these fat bombs is ridiculously low!
Why not grab one of these babies instead of those processed desserts that are packed with sugar, refined seed oils and refined flour? You now have the option to enjoy a perfectly healthy dessert instead of sugar-packed treats. Go for it!
Just remember, these are not meal replacements and you should eat them in moderation, no more than 1-2 pieces at a time.
I hope you’ll come to appreciate this homemade keto chocolate fat bombs with raisins and walnuts as much as we did! If you make them, I’d so love if you could leave a comment and rate the recipe. Enjoy these fat bombs and stay healthy!
