Creamy green smoothie ingredients

Wondering what goes into a perfect creamy green smoothie like this one? Besides a lot of love for plants, we used lots of whole foods that we were so fortunate to have and to include in our smoothie:

  • Cantaloupe Melon – We used a Cantaloupe melon that wasn’t too sweet, so the smoothie had a rather balanced taste (that is … not too sweet).
  • Carrot – I’ve said it before, smoothies are a great way to consume lots of raw carrots which are super healthy.
  • Avocado – We used a big avocado (and I mean big) which helped with the creamy texture of this green smoothie.
  • Fennel – Not too much, just 1-2 slices and you’ll get a healthy dose of real nutrients.
  • Celery Stick – I guess you know by now that, when it comes to making smoothies, celery and fennel go hand in hand together.
  • Frozen Spinach – Perfectly refreshing, not too expensive either, plus loaded with those “good-for-you” nutrients and zero prep-time. Who doesn’t like frozen spinach, right?!
  • Mandarin – Mandarins come with lots of fiber, besides those well-known nutrients like vitamin c, magnesium and potassium.
  • Extra Virgin Coconut Oil – Think healthy fats that all your cells need on a daily basis.
  • Himalayan Salt – Just a pinch of salt goes a long way in smoothies.
  • Water – Use plain water and as much as needed to cover the ingredients in the blender.
