A word of wisdom

Don’t forget to stay present in the present moment. In fact, the advice that we seem to get from all spiritual teachers is to live in the present moment. But what does this mean exactly? What does it mean to live “in the present moment”?

Living in the present moment doesn’t mean to enjoy life without looking back and/or harming others or the environment in the process. No, no, no!

Being in the present moment means to enjoy life without abusing life. To stay present, observant and to not judge the moment. Accept the moment as it comes to you. Observe it with your whole body, with all your senses, but do not put a label on it.

Focus on the present moment without analyzing the past or projecting the future. The present moment is the only moment when life truly happens and it would be a shame to lose it by analyzing it.

Learn how to observe the present moment but do not analyze it with your mind. Just observe the present moment, feel it and enjoy it as it comes to you.

Hope this makes sense to you! 🙂

Kick your health up a notch with this simple Purple Power Superfood Smoothie made using an assortment of vegetables, low-carb fruits, plus extra boosters for a superfood power smoothie. Blend and enjoy the magic of life in a glass!

Equipment

  • Blender

Ingredients

  • 3 small avocado (skin and seed removed)
  • 1 green kapia pepper
  • 1 red kapia pepper
  • 1 stick celery (chopped)
  • 1 slice fennel (chopped)
  • 1/2 cucumber (sliced)
  • 5 cm leeks (chopped small)
  • 1 green apple
  • 3 dried dates (seedless, chopped)
  • 150-200 g frozen blueberries
  • 2 tbsp hemp seeds
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • 1 tsp ginger powder
  • 2 slices lemon (organic)
  • 1/2 tsp Himalayan salt
  • 400 ml water

Instructions

  • Prepare all the ingredients and add them into your blender.
  • Blend ingredients together until smooth. Adjust liquid as necessary to desired consistency.
  • Ready! Enjoy fresh or store in the fridge for up to 3 days.

Notes

  • Color: perfect purple
  • Texture: perfect creamy
  • Taste: celery and leeks taste with a bit of a sweetness

Instead of using kapia peppers (those long sweet peppers), you can use the more common bell pepper.
When it comes to the lemon slice, make sure to either use an organic lemon or otherwise remove the skin. Conventionally grown lemons are often sprayed with chemicals so their skin is toxic and must be removed prior to using in smoothies.
