For this recipe you’ll be using mandarins with skin. Make sure to use organic mandarins or, in case of using conventionally grown mandarins, remove their skin prior to using in the smoothie. This is because conventionally grown citrus fruits may be sprayed with pesticides that remain in the skin even after washing. In this recipe you’ll be using coconut cream, which is simply a combination of coconut butter and extra virgin coconut oil. There is no special formula here, I simply used 1/4 extra virgin coconut oil while the rest was coconut butter.
This spring smoothie looks quite appealing to me and, even though there are lots of ingredients, I bet it’s again one of those recipes that I will be making over and over. Why? Because the last one was soooo good!
