Healthy Cacao Cherry Smoothie featuring frozen cherries and cacao blended together with a few fruits and vegetables, creating a rich and flavorful smoothie. This smoothie can be whipped up in just a few minutes, making it a great breakfast option.

Ingredients
200gfrozen cherries(pitted)
2avocados(seeded)
1-2tbspcoconut butter
1.5stickcelery
1slicefennel(chopped)
1-2scoopwhey protein powder(chocolate flavor)
1-2tspraw cacao powder
fresh dill, parsley or mint
1/2tspcinnamon powder
2-3dried dates(pitted and chopped)
pinch ofHimalayan salt
400-500mlwater(or enough to cover the ingredients)
decorate with dried dates
Instructions
Place all ingredients into blender and cover with water, as needed.
Blend until you obtain a creamy and thick consistency.
Pour smoothie into a glass and decorate with dried dates.
Serve fresh or store in the fridge for up to 3 days. Enjoy!
Notes
Color: roasted cacao beans
Texture: creamy, well mixed, some texture left
Taste: refreshing, sweet, light cacao taste
Make sure to add enough water if your blender has troubles chopping all the ingredients. This step is important because some of the ingredients tend to “absorb” water and some blenders may have troubles mixing everything smoothly.For this smoothie I used whey protein powder and this means our smoothie is not vegan. Should you want to go vegan with this recipe, feel free to use a vegan protein powder or skip using protein powder altogether.Instead of whey protein powder you can successfully use a vegan protein powder like pea protein or hemp protein.
