This power-up green smoothie is prepared using a wide selection of veggies, fruits, spices and superfoods. it’s loaded with healthy fats, a bit of protein, is low in sugar and comes packed with vitamins, minerals, enzymes and lots of phytonutrients.

200gfresh or frozen spinach
1tbspsour cream(unpasteurized)
2tbspcoconut butter
1bigavocado(skin and seed removed)
1stickcelery
3dried dates(chopped small)
1tbsphemp seeds
fresh lovage(chopped)
fresh dill(chopped)
fresh mint(chopped)
1scoopwhey protein powder(or pea protein powder)
1tspraw cacao powder
2tspturmeric powder
1/2tspcinnamon powder
1slicelemon
pinch ofvanilla powder
pinch ofHimalayan salt
300mlwater(enough to cover the ingredients)
Instructions
Prepare all the ingredients - remove skin and seeds (if applicable) and chop in small pieces.
Add everything into the blender including herbs and spices.
Add just enough water to cover the ingredients and a bit more.
Mix until you obtain the desired texture. Feel free to add more water if your smoothie looks a bit thick or your blender has trouble chopping the ingredients.
Serve fresh or keep in the fridge for 2-3 days.
Notes
Since I used raw sour cream (dairy) and whey protein powder (dairy), this smoothie is not vegan.If you’re vegan and want to make this smoothie, just skip both the sour cream and the whey protein, or replace them with vegan alternatives. You can substitute sour cream with coconut cream or coconut milk. As for whey protein powder, you can definitely use either pea protein powder or hemp protein powder. Feel free to play with the spices or herbs, following your intuition. Smoothies are not an exact science, the only rule is to keep it low carb so your body could easily absorb all the nutrients instead of making yourself a sugar bomb.
