I remember how excited I was to add celery to a smoothie, top it with fennel and finish by adding avocado and banana … this Purple Rain Smoothie was amazing!

Equipment

  • Blender

Ingredients

  • 2 avocados (peeled and seeded)
  • 2 bananas (skin removed, sliced)
  • 1.5 stick celery
  • 3 tbsp frozen blueberries (or blackberries)
  • 1 orange bell pepper
  • 1 slice fennel (chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
  • fresh dill (chopped)
  • pinch of vanilla powder
  • 1/2 lemon (fresh juice)
  • pinch of Himalayan salt
  • 1 tsp chia seeds (mixed into each glass)
  • decorated with chopped cacao beans (optional)
  • 250-300 ml water

Instructions

  • Add everything into the blender and blend until you reach a creamy consistency.
  • Pour the contents into glasses and add 1 tsp chia seeds into each glass.
  • Decorate with chopped cacao beans (optional) and serve fresh or store in the fridge for 2 days.

Notes

  • Color: deep purple
  • Taste: sweet and savory
  • Texture: easy to drink, creamy

Instead of frozen blueberries you can definitely use blackberries and the color or texture of your smoothie won’t change much.
