I absolutely love this springtime green smoothie because it smells so fresh and natural, while having a rather neutral taste of greens with an unexpected spicy aftertaste. This green smoothie is creamy and easy to drink, and one of those smoothies that feel super nourishing snd “good-for-you”.

Equipment

  • Blender

Ingredients

  • 2 medium avocado (skin and seed removed)
  • 1 small bok choy
  • 1/2 cucumber fabio
  • 2 medium carrots
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 mandarin (skin removed)
  • 200 g frozen broccoli
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp ginger powder
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 2 tsp raw cacao powder
  • 1 tsp wheatgrass powder
  • 1 slice lemon
  • 1/2 tsp Himalayan salt
  • 500-600 ml water

Instructions

  • Wash and prep all the ingredients as indicated. Adjust the quantities according to your needs, but make sure that you don’t add any more spices (it’s already a spicy smoothie).
  • Blend everything on medium to high speed until you obtain the desired consistency.
  • Pour into favorite glass or smoothie jar. Serve fresh or store in the fridge for max 2 days.

Notes

  • Color: dark green
  • Texture: creamy and thick but easy to drink
  • Taste: tastes like greens but in a pleasant way, plus it’s very spicy

My smoothie turned out to be a bit spicy due to using (maybe) a bit too much ginger powder. Keep this in mind when blending yours!
