Try this nourishing Spinach Blueberry Beet Smoothie that comes packed with all kinds of beneficial nutrients, sugar-free and low in carbs, well mixed and a bit sweet. This smoothie turned out to be a pleasant surprise for us and we want to share it with everyone!

Ingredients

  • 1 big avocado (skin and seed removed)
  • 1 carrot (sliced)
  • 2 sticks celery (chopped)
  • 250 g frozen spinach
  • 1 leg fennel (chopped)
  • 1 yellow bell pepper (seeds removed)
  • 1 green apple (seeds removed)
  • 1 red beet (peeled and cut big)
  • 4-5 tbsp frozen blueberries
  • fresh ginger (optional, chopped small)
  • 2 tsp extra virgin coconut oil
  • 2 tbsp hemp seeds
  • 1 tbsp wheatgrass powder
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp ginger powder
  • pinch of aniseed
  • pinch of dried basil
  • 500 ml water

Instructions

  • Add everything into your blender, including water.
  • Blend on medium to high speed until everything looks smooth and creamy. Use the pulse function a few times in case you feel that it takes too long to blend.
  • Serve fresh or store in the fridge for 2-3 days.

Notes

  • Color: dark red to brown
  • Texture: finely chopped
  • Taste: sweet enough and a definite spinach taste
