This green smoothie is based on a classic smoothie recipe: spinach, pineapple and avocado. Be prepared to absorb lots of healthy nutrients from this creamy and tasty green smoothie.

Equipment

  • Blender

Ingredients

  • 3 big slices pineapple (cut into squares)
  • 1 big avocado (skin and seed removed)
  • 200-250 g frozen spinach rolls
  • 1 big red apple (no seeds)
  • 1/2 stick celery
  • 1 tbsp hemp seeds
  • 1 tbsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1/3 tsp Himalayan salt
  • 250-300 ml water

Instructions

  • Prepare the ingredients as indicated and add them into your blender.
  • Add enough water to cover the ingredients, but not too much or you’ll end up with a watery smoothie.
  • Blend on medium to high speed for a few minutes or until the smoothie has a creamy consistency.
  • Serve fresh or keep in the fridge for up to 2 days.

Notes

  • Color: warm green
  • Texture: creamy and thick
  • Taste: spinach + pineapple

Instead of water, you can go with coconut water, coconut milk, almond milk or cashew milk. Keep this in mind if you want to add a bit of variation to your daily smoothie.
If you think that 1 tbsp turmeric powder may be too much for your taste, you can simply use 1 tsp instead. Besides nutrients and taste, turmeric also contributes to the final color of your smoothie. Simply put, using less turmeric will change the green tint a bit and that’s totally normal.
