A green shot smoothie that doesn’t have a strong "green" taste, packed with all sorts of healthy nutrients and definitely tasty. Definitely an advanced smoothie that requires many ingredients but it’s also one of my best recipes so far.

Equipment

  • Blender

Ingredients

  • 3 cabbage leaves (chopped big)
  • 2 kale leaves (stalks removed)
  • 200 g frozen spinach
  • 1 avocado (peel and remove seed)
  • 1 stick celery (chopped)
  • 1 carrot (cut big)
  • 1/2 cucumber fabio (sliced)
  • 1 slice fennel (chopped)
  • 1 golden apple (seedless)
  • 2 tbsp frozen cranberries
  • 2 tbsp frozen blueberries
  • 2 tbsp frozen sea buckthorn
  • 1 tsp flax seeds
  • 2 tsp chia seeds
  • 3 tsp hemp seeds
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp fenugreek powder
  • 1 tsp ginger powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (liquid)
  • 700 ml water

Instructions

  • Start by mixing only the kale and the cabbage together with some of the water.
  • Continue by adding all the other ingredients into the blender. Add the remaining water.
  • If you don’t like measuring the water (I know I don’t), just add enough water to cover the ingredients and you’ll be fine. Add a bit more water if your smoothie seems to turn out too thick.
  • Blend on medium to high speed until everything looks smooth and creamy.
  • That’s it! Serve fresh or store in the fridge for 2-3 days.

Notes

  • Color: dark green muddy brown
  • Texture: well mixed but not that creamy
  • Taste: it was very good, tastes like a green shot
