How to activate walnuts: Place raw walnuts in a bowl, cover with water and add a bit of salt. Leave for at least 2-3 hours (ideally 6 hours) until nuts have changed color to a pale yellow. When activated, nuts will become softer and easier to chew.For best results, try using organic walnuts and figs, and choose only quality dark chocolate.I used 85% dark chocolate but you can use any kind. I wouldn’t go below 70% chocolate or you’ll end-up with a snack that is loaded with sugar. Make sure that you’re using dried figs that are free of additives or preservatives.
